Hello! I'm Javier, I'm a creative strategist, educator, and co-founder of Happy Punk Panda, a digital agency helping Central American brands find their voice (and edge) in the digital world. With over 15 years of experience, I’ve worked across content, branding, and strategy often at the intersection of culture and tech.

My background is in Multimedia Design, and I’ve spent just as much time in classrooms as I have in boardrooms. As a long-time teacher at the Escuela de Creatividad Estratégica Mónica Herrera, I’ve guided students through the shifting media landscape, always encouraging imagination, ethics, and experimentation.

For some weird reason, I also chose to be a runner. And when I’m not at work or on the road, I’m probably breaking (and rebuilding) my smart home setup.

I’ve spent most of my professional life making things for other people brands, strategies, content, endless decks. And that’s great. I like building things that work.

But I wanted a place where I could just write. No client. No brief. No algorithm. Just somewhere to think out loud.

This blog isn’t meant to be perfect or even consistent. It’s a mix of thoughts around creativity, internet culture, communication, and the stuff I keep coming back to sometimes from work, sometimes from teaching, sometimes just from curiosity.

I’m not trying to grow an audience or launch a newsletter. I just missed having a corner of the internet that was mine. I missed playing in the internet without having to have a goal.

So here it is.
